Prigozhin on why celebrities cannot spend multimillion-dollar incomes on themselves
"We had to invest in a song, arrangement, clip. The total cost was 3.5 million rubles ($55,500). In order to target this whole story, another 1.5 million ($24,000) are needed," the famous producer admitted.
Producer Iosif Prigozhin opened the mystery where the stars spend their multi-million fees. The businessman in the field of show business assures that the net income from all earnings of artists is from 10 to 30% of the amount that they declare.
Prigozhin immediately reminded that the artist is not on state support. And consequently, according to the producer, the lion’s share of the income goes to the maintenance of the collective. Such a statement he made in an interview with HCH.
As an example, Prigozhin said that his spouse, singer Valeria, spends from 3.5 to 4.5 million ($55,000-72,000) a month to promote a song, and this is still without taking into account the payment of airtime.
"We had to invest in a song, arrangement, clip. The total cost was 3.5 million rubles ($55,500). To target this whole story, you need another 1.5 million ($24,000)," the producer estimated.
He recalled that, unlike other countries, in Russia, artists still earn only with performances at concerts, or at corporate parties. In this case, they support their teams, even while on vacation.
