The wounded man was taken to Moscow.
Employees of the medical facility, where the Tula police officer who had been wounded by unknown persons was taken, told the press that his condition improved. He is in the MIA Main Clinical Hospital.
The patient's condition and hemodynamics is stable, the surgeon-resuscitator of the central hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who conducted the examination, concluded.
The attack on Sergeant Nikolay Skachkov occurred in the village of Kosaya Gora near Tula on May 24. During a scuffle, the criminals took possession of his service weapon and shot him several times.
The Investigative Committee is investigating into the incident and searching for the attackers.
General’s son Mikhail Sal’nikov, Professor of the Department of Theory of Government and Law at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, has been detained for real estate fraud. Amid other corruption crimes hitting the headlines, this offense does not seem a high-profile one. But the point is that this is not the first criminal case instituted against professor Sal’nikov, and he is not the only relative of MIA general Viktor Sal’nikov having problems with the law.
