Police gang detained for robbery and extortion
The bent cops kidnapped 1.5 kg of amber and extorted money from a businessman.
A gang of bent cops, who served in the MIA Administration in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts, was arrested for robbery and extortion money from a businessman, as Life reports. Members of the gang were 10 officers of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Police Patrol and Checkpoint Service. Among them there was the Head of the Theft and Pickpocket Prevention Department of the MIA Administration in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts Pavel Shaforost.
According to investigators, the suspects seized 1.5 kg of amber from a businessman, which he intended to sell in Moscow. In addition, they extorted 200 thousand rubles from him. A criminal case has been initiated.
Up to now, 10 people have been detained and arrested for two days. The question on the measure of restraint for the suspects is being considered.
Major of the Operative Unit No. 6 in the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, Kirill Dvoretskov, is the nephew of General Boris Pishchulin, who used to head the police of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow.
