Police detains Infinity hijackers with gunfire
Suspects are caught, one of them is injured.
Today, May 15, at 5 am in the Cominternovsky District of Voronezh, police patrolling the Moscow Avenue drew attention to the broken glass of the rear door of an Infiniti car. Inside the car, two men in masks were sitting. The traffic police tried to stop the car, but the driver and the passenger ignored their demands. After that, they jumped out of the car and tried to escape, shooting back from the traumatic weapons. In response, the policemen opened fire and wounded one of the hijackers. Soon, both men were detained.
On this fact, the Investigative Committee for the Voronezh Region started a pre-investigation check. The suspects were detained. One of them is 46 years old, the other is 34; both are local residents. As expected, Infiniti was hijacked. At the moment, the police are looking for the owner of the car. According to some media reports, a criminal case under Art. 318 of the Russian Criminal Code (Use of violence against a representative of the authorities) is initiated.
