Police capture burglar who stole collection of luxury watches and jewelry from Krasnodar MIA major general

The man, 40, born in Nizhny Novgorod, had previously been prosecuted for burglary.

The Crimean police have detained an attacker who robbed Vladimir Strukov, the former Southern Federal District head of the transport department of the Russian Interior Ministry in Krasnodar. According to Novaya Kuban, it turned out to be a 40-year-old native of Nizhny Novgorod. A criminal case has been instituted against the burglar under the burglary article (part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The man was taken to Krasnodar, where he confessed to the crime. He had been prosecuted for an apartment theft before.

The burglary occurred in the evening of July 28. Someone broke into Strukov’s house on Kuban embankment and stole a collection of luxury watches: Lacroix, Breguet and Longines, as well as rare coins, awards and jewelry. The worth of the stolen property has not been reported. The valuables will be returned to their rightful owner, the press service of the Krasnodar Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Vladimir Strukov headed the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Southern Federal District in July 2010 and remained in the post until November 2018. Currently, the post is occupied by Andrei Rybinsky.

In 2017, Strukov made 1.95 million rubles, and his wife 2.1 million rubles. Strukov owns two land plots with an area of ​​7000 square meters and 4.6 hectares, as well as a house, an apartment and a parking spot. He also uses an apartment and a garage box and owns a Mercedes ML350. Strukov’s wife has a land area of ​​720 square meters and two apartments.
