Photographer Loshagin, who spoke of bribes for sexual abuse immunity in jail may become defendant in reputation lawsuit
The former head of IK-54, where the photographer is serving his term, is the one who is bringing the man to justice.
Sergey Sozinov, the former head of Sverdlovsk IK-54, asked the regional head of the FSIN to check the statements of the man convicted of his wife’s murder, Dmitry Loshagin. The photographer previously stated that he had to pay the prison administration for sexual abuse immunity for years. RIA Novosti brought the news. After the check, Sozinov plans to sue Loshagin for the dissemination of information defaming his name.
Sergey Sozinov retired in June 2018. In January of this year, Loshagin told the Sverdlovsk Ombudsman that he had paid a “hefty sum” to the jail authorities for years to avoid sexual violence. According to the photographer, he witnessed one of the prisoners being raped with a spade handle.
Loshagin is a witness in the case against the former deputy head of IK-54, who is suspected of involvement in mass torture and sexual violence in the jail. In 2015, the photographer was sentenced to ten years in prison on charges of murdering his wife, a fashion model.

A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
