Peskov’s ex-wife faces dismissal from state service for “loss of confidence”
According to some sources, Ekaterina Solotsinskaya did not mention her two businesses on the tax return.
Dmitry Peskov’s ex-spouse Ekaterina Solotsinskaya can be dismissed from Rossotrudnichestvo with the wording “in connection with the loss of confidence.” This is reported by TV channel Rain with reference to sources.
According to the interlocutors of the channel, Ekaterina Solotsinskaya did not declare shares in two businesses – located in Russia and France, which is a violation of the law. After the management recommended her to write a letter of resignation at her own accord, the former spouse of the President's press secretary began threatening them with “connections with Kadyrov and Sobchak.”
“I am sure that you understand that my origin is from the family of diplomats of the highest level (my father is the Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation; since 2013, he is the Secretary of the Council of the Heads of the Subjects of the Russian Federation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Solotsinsky V.D., the grandfather is the honorable diplomat of the USSR, Solotsinsky D. E.) does not allow me to put up with the wording “loss of confidence” and the like,” Rain quotes Solonitskaya’s letter to her management.
Meanwhile, in a conversation with a correspondent of the TV channel, Peskov’s ex-wife said that she did not know anything about the upcoming dismissal and promised to comment on the information later. When asked whether her undeclared business was exposed, she replied that “this is not true.”
The source of Rain adds that the issue of Solotsinskaya’s undeclared businesses, including the foreign ones, should now be considered by a special commission of Rossotrudnichestvo and, probably, within the next week, a decision on her dismissal will be made.
It is to be recalled that earlier in the investigation of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) it was reported that Ekaterina Solotsinskaya has real estate in France. This 180 square meter apartment is located in the center of Paris, on Hugo Avenue, a 10-minute walk from the Russian Cultural and Scientific Center, headed by Solotsinskaya. The apartment is registered in the French legal entity – the company called Sirius. According to Alexey Navalny’s Fund, 75% of the company belong to Solotsinskaya, and 25% - to her and Peskov's daughter Lisa. The cost of the real estate, according to Navalny, is 1.8 million Euros.
