Participants of shootout in Rostov detained
Some of the violators tried to leave the city.
Law enforcement officers detained about 10 people in different parts of Rostov-on-Don on suspicion of participating in a shootout near the Bacon & John pub. Some of the detainees tried to leave the city. Investigators proceeded to interrogation, DonDay.ru reports, referring to a source.
On the morning of February 8, the ICR’s Rostov Directorate announced the initiation of a criminal case under three articles: attempted murder (part 3 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 105 CCRF), murder (part 2 of Article 105 CCRF) and illegal circulation of firearms (part 1 of Article 222 CCRF). A day earlier, near a pub on the Kosmonavtov Avenue, a middle-aged man was shot dead and another was seriously wounded.
Both men were thrown out of the cars at the ambulance hospital, which was caught on the CCTV camera. According to the authors of the Telegram-channel 112, the car which brought the killed and wounded belongs to 33-year-old Islam Akhtakhanov.
Mass protest rallies have been taking place in Moscow on a regular basis since the beginning of this summer. People are protesting for lots of different reasons. However, the reaction of the law enforcement authorities is always the same: repression. What is the reason behind the brutality shown during the dispersion of mass rallies? A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
