Paratrooper left dangling on wall with chute caught on roof

An airborne fighter got his chute caught on the roof of a five-story building and hung on the wall during a training jump in the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky region, reports Komsomolskaya Pravda. Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued the paratrooper.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of September 12th. The news was first reported on social media. The paratrooper was dangling at the third-floor level of a building on Arsentieva Street.
A fire brigade with a ladder was sent to the place and they came in three minutes. The paratrooper was unhooked from the slings and lowered to the ground. He said he did not need medical help. The rescue units returned to the permanent deployment.
According to Baza, the paratrooper landed on the roof of the five-story building during a training jump but was unable to keep himself from falling down. The man was saved thanks to his parachute that caught on a hook on the roof. It was also reported that there were power lines nearby that posed a threat to the man’s life.
