The Chief of the MIA Department in Otradny, the Samara region, Dmitry Vashurkin, who along with his wife was attacked by four unknown men, came to his senses. Vashurkin gave first testimony to investigation. The information he gave is secrecy of investigation.

The policeman was transferred from intensive care to a regular ward with 24/7 security, reports Tolyatti Online. Danger to life and health of the Chief of the MIA Department, who received a chopped head wound, hematomas and concussion of the brain, was excluded.

"However, consciousness of the victim is still confused, he loses it periodically", - says the regional edition.

Recall that the tragedy occurred on the night of December 11 in the village of Smyshlyaevka of the Volga district, the Samara region.

According to preliminary investigation, Otradny MIA Department Chief Dmitry Vashurkin along with his wife Ekaterina found four masked men at their home, they severely beat them. It was on the next morning, when the policeman came to his senses and called the ambulance. His wife could not be saved, as she had died before the arrival of doctors. The attackers have not been detained yet.

Investigation is underway at the scene of the crime. The regional ICR Administration carries investigation of the case under special control. Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev sent the MIA Criminal Investigation Department officers to assist in the investigation of the crime in the Samara region.

A criminal case has been initiated under two articles: Murder and Attempted Murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy.
