Ossetian deputy who attacked school teacher steps down from office
Vasily Gogichaev beat a teacher of North Ossetia’s Ardon-based high school #4 after a complaint by his niece who is a 5th grader and had been suspected of theft of 70 rubles ($1) from a girl from a parallel form.
Ossetian deputy Vasily Gogichaev has stepped down from office after accusations of beating of a teacher of an Ardon-based high school #4. He reported about it in a video message on OsNova web site.
Gogichaev reported about stigmatization local authorities arranged towards him due to complaints. He added there was no beating and said he’s convinced of the fact that he’s right.
“Despite the fact that I’m right, I feel it’s necessary to stand down to avoid subsequent defamation of myself and Patriots of Russia,” Gogichaev said.
It was earlier reported that 28-year-old Gogichaev attacked the teacher in front of children and drew her to the principal’s office by hair. He tried to hit her with a penknife and a plastic bottle. The aggression was caused by a complaint of his 12-year-old physically handicapped niece who had been suspected of theft of 70 rubles ($1) from a girl from a parallel form. While attacking the teacher, Gogichaev allegedly shouted he would get away with it due to the fact that he’s a deputy.
In her report, the teacher under the last name of Sozieva stated that last year, the deputy used force against her colleague under the last name of Khapsaeva.
Head of Ardon Vladislav Totrov stated there’s no spot for a person like Gogichaev in a district assembly of representatives and he would bring up an issue related to his presence in the representative body during the next meeting.
