Oryol official is tried for breaking local resident’s skull
In the Oryol Region a trial against the former MP and his brother, who crippled a local resident during a fight, begins.
Specialists of the regional Investigative Committee completed the investigation of the criminal case against the former MP of the Oryol Regional Council of People's Deputies Pavel Budagov and his brother Petr Budagova. The men are accused of Intentionally Causing Grievous Bodily Harm to the local resident (item (a), part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code).
During the investigation, the law enforcement officers found that on December 12 last year, the official and his brother started a fight with the local resident near the night club OZ BAR in Oryol. They inflicted several strikes to the man's head, after which he fell and broke his parietal bone, hitting the pavement.
Doctors diagnosed the victim with a closed head injury and fracture of the parietal bone. These injuries resulted in serious bodily harm.
The investigating authorities have collected enough evidence proving the guilt of the suspects. The case materials with the confirmation of the indictment are submitted to the court for further consideration on the merits.
A large-scale purge of thieves in law, which started shortly after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s coming to power, continues in Armenia. After receiving threats of arrests, thieves were taken in custody for carrying weapons and drugs.
However, the thief, who is currently dividing the spheres of influence in Ukraine’s Odessa region with Antimoz Kukhilava through his representatives, has been sentenced in absentia. Mindiya Goradze is not in Georgia at the moment.
