“One cannot beat Russians”: cause of row between MMA champion's father and police came to light
Drunk operatives attacked Sulli Yunusilau after he slapped a Slavic man in the face.
Moscow region police officers, who killed the 46-year-old father of the two-time MMA world champion Magomed Yunusilau, attacked the man because he slapped a Slavic man in the face, Moskovsky Komsomolets informs.
According to the publication, the incident occurred when the operatives were drinking after service near a large chain store in Orekhovo-Zuevo. The police officers saw that a quarrel had occurred between Sulli Yunusilau and a local resident, during which the Dagestani gave a slap to his opponent. After that, the men embraced and shook hands as a sign of reconciliation. However, the police approached the local resident and asked what the matter was. The man replied that the conflict had been settled, but the police officers said: “One cannot beat Russians!” and began to beat the Dagestani.
Yunusilau tried to hide in a pharmacy, but the police went in after him and dragged him back to the street, where they continued beating until the man fell silent. After that, writes Moskovsky Komsomolets, the attackers left him and went about their business.
Sulli Yunusilau died in hospital from injuries received. He was diagnosed with edema and dislocation of the brain and strong hematomas. A criminal case was initiated against police officers Dmitry Blinov, Pavel Popov and Oleg Shishkanov on the intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and abuse of authority. The court sent Blinov to the detention center, Popov and Shishkanov were placed under house arrest.
