The man is accused of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

Novosibirsk court has placed in custody a 42-year-old resident who attacked a National Guard officer with a blade concealed in a crutch handle after being asked to pay for vodka in a store. The man is accused of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer (Art. 317), the press service of the ICR reports.

According to the investigators, on November 9, the defendant came to the Yarche store in Novosibirsk, took a bottle of vodka from the counter and began to drink from it. The seller called the National Guard.

The video published by the Investigative Committee shows the man unscrewing the crutch handle revealing a blade and using it to attack one of the law enforcement officers.

Punishment for encroaching on the life of a law enforcement officer is imprisonment for up to 12 years.
