Novosibirsk homeless kidnapped for loan

The victim was taken to a rented apartment, beaten and his passport was taken away.

The investigating authorities initiated a criminal case over the Abduction of a Homeless Person for a Loan (part 2 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court arrested the accused, the press service of the ICR for the region reported. The men were detained on the day of the second assault on the homeless.

According to investigators, a 27-year-old and 24-year-old residents of the city of Toguchin found a 38-year-old homeless man in Novosibirsk, followed him to the attic of a house on Vostochny Street in Leninsky district and attacked at the end of April 2019. The visitors took the homeless man to a rented apartment and forced him to take the loan. However, the victim later escaped.

On May 8, the offenders found him again, this time in one of the social canteens. The victim was beaten, his passport was taken away, and they took him away on BMW, under the control of a 36-year-old friend from Berdsk. All three were detained in the evening of the same day.
