North Ossetian Economic Security Department head framed up case for better statistics

North Ossetia Head of the Economic Security Department of the Interior Ministry became a suspect in a case of falsifying evidence. The police officer initiated a case against an innocent local resident, reports the regional office of the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, for the sake of improving statistics on the detection of cases in his unit, he forged the results of operational search measures.
As a result, a case of committing a grave economic crime was cooked up against an innocent resident of Vladikavkaz, 53, in November last year.

Several new criminal cases against corrupt officials have been instituted in Dagestan.
