Nizhny Novgorod massacre: man slaughters his mother-in-law and cripples his 2-year-old daughter and father-in-law
It is so far unclear why the man attacked his relatives.
39-year-old man who slaughtered his mother-in-law has been detained in Nizhny Novgorod. The woman died at the scene following the injuries. Besides that, the man hurt bad his father-in-law and his 2-year-old daughter. This is being reported by the media office of the directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the region.
The incident took place on January 12. The man had a quarrel with his relatives. They all live in the apartment building on Krasnogvardeyskaya street in Leninsky district. During the conflict, the man grabbed a knife and stabbed his mother-in-law and father-in-law; moreover, he wounded his child in the leg.
Law enforcement officers can’t say so far why the man attacked his relatives. During the conflict, his spouse ran to their neighbour who helped to stop the criminal.
According to non-official sources, the attacker was very drunk during the conflict. It all started after his spouse asked him for a divorce. The head of household went out and returned with 4 knives - 1 for every family member. The suspect wad detained, he pleaded guilty. It has been revealed the man had prior records.
