Nizhnekamsk man gets shot for stabbing policeman outside police station
The attacker is reported to have shouted extremist slogans.
In Nizhnekamsk, an unknown man attacked policemen outside police station, Interfax reports citing the Tatarstan Investigative Committee. The attacker wounded the policemen in the neck and he died from loss of blood in the ambulance. Another policeman shot the man dead.
Nizhnekamsk Vkontakte published a video of the attack. The footage shows a man running after a policeman, the officer shoots him and he falls. A wounded policeman is seen lying on the roadway the other side of the street.
Telegram Channel Mash reports that the attacker shouted extremist slogans. The policeman, after whom he was running, shot him in the stomach, and when the man did not stop, he was shot in the chest.
The deceased served as a district police officer. A criminal case has been opened about the encroachment on the life of a police officer (Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
