New footage from room where policeman fired at coworkers
The pictures show that the floor of the police room at Ryazansky Prospekt is covered in blood.
REN TV published photos from the police room at the Ryazansky Prospekt metro station in Moscow, where Ensign Alexei Smirnov opened fire on Internal Investigations officers Maxim Veyalko and Alexei Limonov, who had tried to detain him for a petty bribe.
The pictures show that the floor of the room is covered in blood, which means that Smirnov opened fire inside the room. After that, according to the channel, police officers tried to run from the shooter. Smirnov chased the officers, continuing to shoot. Eventually, Veyalko was wounded and killed, while Limonov was hospitalized in a critical condition.
Smirnov was detained and charged with an attempt to kill a police officer (Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Earlier, it was reported that after the attack on the officers, Smirnov called his family and said that they made him take a bribe.
