New details about detention of rights defender Pyatnitsky
A check is being conducted into the use of weapons.
Certain details have become known about the brawl with shooting with the participation of a well-known rights defender Pavel Pyatnitsky. He quarreled with one of the guests at a birthday party of former deputy Dmitry Nosov. This is reported by MK.
According to journalists, the birthday party was held in a hookah club near the metro station Tsvetnoy Boulevard. Around 1:00 A.M last night, Pyatnitsky had a conflict with one of the guests. Preliminary information indicates that the rights defender was outraged by the person’s style of communication. After that, Pyatnitsky pulled out a rubber-bullet weapon and shot in the air several times. After the conflict, he returned to the event. However, it appears that the man, whom the rights defender had threatened with a weapon, called the police.
After some time, Pyatnitsky was detained by law enforcement officers of the Tver district MIA department. A check is being conducted into the use of weapons.
Pyatnitsky is a member of the PMC and often appears on the air of well-known TV programs and talk shows, commenting on the progress of high-profile criminal cases.
General’s son Mikhail Sal’nikov, Professor of the Department of Theory of Government and Law at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, has been detained for real estate fraud. Amid other corruption crimes hitting the headlines, this offense does not seem a high-profile one. But the point is that this is not the first criminal case instituted against professor Sal’nikov, and he is not the only relative of MIA general Viktor Sal’nikov having problems with the law.
