An unknown person pelted Anti-corruption Foundation Head Aleksey Navalny with eggs during a rally against housing and public utilities rates increase. Navalny got hit by several eggs, according to the Interfax News Agency. The police arrested the perpetrator.
It is worth mentioning that about 2,500 people attended the rally. Activists’ main demand is for a governor’s order to increase the Novosibirsk rates 15% to be canceled. The Russian government set housing and public utilities rates at only 4%.
