The woman was hospitalized. Doctors say she might have a miscarriage.

The Investigative Committee of Russia for the Irkutsk region opened a criminal case after National Guard employees attacked Irina, a pregnant woman, and her husband Ivan at a Leroy Merlin outlet. The case was initiated under Art. 286 “Exceeding Official Powers”.

The incident occurred on September 28. The couple was picking up a light bulb; they screw it into the lamp and forgot to pay for it at the checkout separately. According to Ivan, the store guard said he would call the police unless he pays 1.500 rubles. Ivan refused to give the money, so the guard called the National Guard officers, who were violent to the spouses.

According to Irina, the officers kicked her and left hematomas on her arms and legs. The woman was hospitalized, doctors say she might have a miscarriage, MK said.

The video people keep sharing online did not capture the moment when the officers applied force to the woman or the man.
