Mother who abandoned her son in Losiny Ostrov National Park with sack placed over his head recognized insane
Nadezhda Kulikova has been transferred to the psychiatric department of the Butyrka pre-trial detention center.
The 33-year-old mother, who left her son in the Losiny Ostrov National Park, has been recognized insane at the time when the offense was committed.
Nadezhda Kulikova, a resident of Moscow, has been transferred to the psychiatric department of the Butyrka pre-trial detention center.
At the same time, another article was added to her charges, namely Child Abuse (Art, 156 of the Russian Criminal Code).
“She denies the charge of attempted murder of her son, but after listening to advisers, she admitted to having acted cruelly,” a source said.
To recall, on February 18, Kulikova contacted the police and said that her six-year-old son went missing in the park the previous night. She said that the boy had insisted on visiting the park, and when they stopped their car next to the park, he ran away from her into the forest.
When the police found the boy, he had a sack wrapped in duct tape placed over his head.
