A Moscow teenager has gotten into an emergency room after taking self-prescribed hormones to change his gender.
According to Mash, he was a quiet kid, lived in the west of the capital with his mother, barely left home and spent entire nights at his computer.
At age 15, he told his mother that he wanted to become a girl, grew long hair and began secretly taking hormones, periodically mixing the pills with antidepressants. As a result, the kid has developed a blood clot in the pulmonary artery. He was hospitalized and is now in intensive care.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an inquiry.
