Moscow Prosecutor demands putting Gelandewagen golden youth away
Prosecutor of Moscow Vladimir Churikov said that the punishment for the defendants in the high-profile case of Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen races organized by son of Lukoil vice-president Ruslan Shamsuarov is not severe enough.
Churikov noted that the Prosecutor's Office's position on this matter has not changed – the court verdict had been unreasonably mild. The prosecutor noted that the correction of perpetrators requires isolation from society.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, Ruslan Shamsuarov, Abduvakhob Madzhidov, and Viktor Uskov should have been tried not only for Insult of a Representative of Power under Art. 319 of the Russian Criminal Code, but also for Use of Violence Against a Representative of the Power under Art. 318 of the Russian Criminal Code.
In reality, Shamsuarov and Uskov have been found guilty of Insult of a Representative of Power (Art. 319 of the Russian Criminal Code) and sentenced to 300 hours of community service. The court has acquitted Abduvakhob Madzhidov.
In late May, the golden youth posse arranged a high-speed pursuit while escaping traffic police, repeatedly creating emergency situations on the road. October 17, the Gagarin Court of Moscow issued a ruling in the scandalous case.

Let us recall that the supervisory authority's position on this matter is constant and consistent. October 25, the Prosecutor's Office appealed against a judgement in the case of Gelandewagen race, requesting to cancel the court decision. The office intends to have the high-profile case defendants tried for use of violence against a representative of the power.
Earlier, the too mild verdict was criticized by former Prosecutor of Crimea, now State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya.
Windows and glass doors of the educational institution were broken. Many students tried to escape through windows. The Polytechnic College doorkeeper said that it took the ambulance very long to arrive.
Shortly before the attack on his college, Roslyakov purchased an inexpensive Turkish rifle - Khatsan ESCORT. In order to fire 70 shots from this riffle, the murderer - as it had been calculated earlier - had had to shoot non-stop or had accomplices, experts believe.
