Moscow: Police confiscated FSB special forces' pistol from 37 yo Infiniti driver
The incident took place in northwest Moscow.
The police and Russian National Guard arrested a 37-year-old Infiniti driver on the Volokolamskoe Highway near apartment house No. 97.
The man had a bag with a pistol in it. It was a combat pistol, as it turned out later. But not a regular one; it was a special forces pistol. Such silent pistols were developed for army spies and the KGB in the USSR. It is used by the FSB special forces and Russian MIA internal troops nowadays.A criminal case was opened against the man for illegal arms trade.
The prosecutors want the former Russian Federation Council member to go to prison for 14 years instead of 9 and pay a 500-million-ruble ($8.8 million) fine instead of 70 million rubles ($1.2 million).
