A 51-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman died in the fire.
Moscow police have detained a woman of retirement age, who burned an apartment in the south of the capital.
The apartment caught fire on September 6 in a five-story building on Kashirskoye Highway. It claimed the lives of a 51-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman. They were having alcohol together with their future murderer, after which there was a quarrel between them.
Investigators found that the 61-year-old detainee who held a grudge against her drinking buddies waited until they fell asleep and set fire to the blankets.
A criminal case of murder has been initiated.
