Moscow journalist raped by curtain rail installation mounter
The woman complained to the police on the evening of February 11.
A curtain rail installation mounter has beaten and raped a journalist in her apartment in the south-east of Moscow. This is reported by AGN Moskva referring to a source in law enforcement bodies.
“In the evening of February 11, the police received a rape report from an employee of one of the departments of the Sobaka publication. According to her, she had ordered the services of a curtain rail installation mounter through the site of contractors’ services Profi.ru. At 19-30, a man named Pyotr came to her place, installed a curtain rail, and then began to molest her; he threw her on the bed, beat her up, and committed violent acts of a sexual nature with her. After that, the suspect took the girl’s phone and escaped,” the publication’s source said.
At the moment, a check is in progress into the incident.
Mass protest rallies have been taking place in Moscow on a regular basis since the beginning of this summer. People are protesting for lots of different reasons. However, the reaction of the law enforcement authorities is always the same: repression. What is the reason behind the brutality shown during the dispersion of mass rallies? A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
