Moscow is in for second Night of the Long Scoops
Dust regarding the mass demolition of unauthorized constructions has not yet settled, but there is information on the new plans of the Moscow authorities. According to RIA Novosti, the list of real estate units for demolition has fallen into hands of the lawyer Arthur Ayrapetov, who defends the interests of entrepreneurs, whose buildings were demolished earlier.
According to the lawyer, he "bought" the list of new units for demolition from one of Moscow Government officials for five thousand dollars. According to the document, the list includes the cafe Le Pain Quotidien near the metro station Park Kultury, the pub Molly Gwynn’s on Novy Arbat, shopping kiosks at the metro Polyanka, Chkalovskaya, Krasnoselskaya.
Earlier, the State Inspectorate for Control over the use of real estate units in Moscow reported on the preparation of the "second wave" list: units, located on engineering services, as well as in areas with special regime of use. However, back then the number of objects for demolition has not been yet determined. "There may be 10-20 objects or more", said the Head of the Department Sergei Shogurov.
It is to be recalled that the demolition of 104 real estate units that have been found to be the unauthorized constructions began on the night of February 9, 2016 after the decision of the Moscow Government. The owners and sellers of some buildings and outlets resisted fiercely.
Trading pavilions were destroyed throughout the city, one booth after another was demolished. In some areas of the city, the employees involved in the dismantling of buildings even faced fierce resistance from the property owners and sellers.
