Moscow: Car accident involving traffic police, three policemen injured
In the morning of June 18, a major accident involving police officers took place in the center of Moscow.
The patrol car was chasing Mercedes from the Molodezhnaya Hotel on Dmitrovskoye Highway, since the 19-year-old driver had not stopped at the first request of the traffic police.
Getting away from the chase, 19-year-old the offender lost control, swerved into the oncoming traffic, and rammed traffic police's Renault Logan, which was also on the roadway at that moment. After the collision with the patrol car, Mercedes was knocked onto the lamp post.
According to preliminary data, it was a head-on collision; eight people were injured as a result of the accident.
Six victims with injuries were taken to a hospital. Three of them were police officers. The rest of the victims did not need hospitalization.
Currently, law enforcement officers are working at the scene; an aggregate picture of the accident is being established, and a pre-investigation check is being carried out.
A St. Petersburg company Renessans-Restavratsiya JSC, involved in a criminal case under Art. 169 (Swindling) of the Russian Criminal Code, has been selected to receive the contract.
