Moscow authorities have held the football simulator tournament Moscow Cyber Cup, which, at Tjournal’s estimate, was attended by 10 people. 38 million rubles ($590k) from the budget was spent on the event.
The pictures from the event show that most of the seats were empty. According to the tendering information, 450 thousand rubles was spent on host Maria Komandnaya alone.
Viewers were not interested in the live broadcast either. From 80 to 140 peopel followed the event. As the journalists noted, it was difficult to find out about the tournament; in fact, there were no announcements of this event in social networks or on billboards.
Presumably, it concerns the US response to Ukraine’s help in the investigation against Joseph Biden, Trump’s main rival in the 2020 presidential election, who allegedly was in collusion with Kiev during the previous campaign.
