Mordovia Traffic Police officer commits suicide

The body of Alexander Larkin, 35, was found in an abandoned building of the former Traffic Police.

A 35-year-old Traffic Police officer, Alexander Larkin, committed suicide in the town of Ruzayevka, the Republic of Mordovia, stolica-s.ru reports. According to the publication, the man committed suicide due to failures in his personal life.

Larkin’s body was found on October 6 in an abandoned warehouse hangar near the former Traffic Police department of the Ruzayevsky District. It is noted that a few days before his death, he asked his colleagues where the building was located. The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Mordovia launched an internal probe to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. 

It is reported that Larkin wrote a detailed suicide note, the general meaning of which is that “life did not work out.” The ICR has launched a probe over the incident.

According to the publication, the native of Mordovia was transferred to Ruzayevka from the Ulyanovsk Region. He served in the MIA’s Traffic Police for the Ruzayevsky District. It is reported that before the transfer, he divorced, and two children remained to live with his ex-wife.
