Russian Empire strikes back? Millionaire to create ‘alternative Russia’ in Pacific Ocean
According to Anton Bakov, on a construction of ‘the alternative state’ he will need 10-15 years.
Millionaire Anton Bakov intends to lease three islands in the Pacific Ocean to create ‘alternative Russia’ in this territory. As the Guardian writes, the businessman currently conducts negotiations with authorities of the Pacific Republic of Kiribati in whose maintaining there are islands, which attracted him.
According to the media, Bakov is a founder of Monarchist party of Russia. Together with his wife they hope to create on the islands new state and to revive ‘Romanov’s empire’ in 10-15 years.
Now, the islands, which attracted attention of the Russian businessman, are uninhabited - there is absolutely no infrastructure on them. The proposal of the businessman will become the largest investment from all, which were ever considered by the island state, the newspaper notes.
As Bakov told, in Kiribati he is attracted by fine climate and a scope. Earlier the businessman already tried to realize the idea of revival of the Russian Empire in the territory of Montenegro and on the Cook Islands, RIA Novosti reports.
