MIA colonel gets spleen removed after being badly beaten up in jail

The ex-employee of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Central Administrative District is in intensive care now, unconscious.

Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ivan Kibalnichenko has undergone a surgery of spleen removal in a Moscow hospital, where he had been taken from the Medved detention center No. 4 with grave injuries after a brutal beating.

The former policeman is in the intensive care unit, unconscious, and it is not yet possible to interrogate him. He had been placed under arrest on suspicion of fraud.

Doctors diagnosed the colonel with capsular rupture of the spleen and swelling of the genitals. He is being continuously under guard.

As The CrimeRussia said earlier, the medical assistant of the remand prison initially told the ambulance doctors that Kibalichenko had “chronic heart failure”.

Ivan Kibalchenko was arrested a year ago. According to the investigators, he and his mediator had promised to deal with a tax debt for $ 100 thousand. Before moving to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Central Administrative District, Kibalnichenko aka Kiborg, had been the head of the Arbat Internal Affairs Department.

This has not been the first beating of a prisoner in detention center No. 4. In 2016, over just two months, four inmates died there. The first one was a 33-year-old man accused of theft who was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury. Less than a month later, another person accused of theft was found dead in his cell. Then another defendant died; he was found with his throat slit. The last one on the list was a 34-year-old prisoner. One prisoner, however, was saved after a suicide attempt.
