Mexican court found Russian Makeev guilty of murder
The term of imprisonment will be announced on July 16.
A court in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo found Russian Alexey Makeev guilty of murder, RIA Novosti reports concerning the state Attorney's Office.
The prison term, as well as the amount of compensation to the relatives of the victim, will be announced on July 16.
In May 2017, several hundred people came to the house of the Russian in Cancun; they were outraged by his behavior. The reason for clarifying the relationship were videos in which Makeev insulted the citizens of a Latin American country, including women and children. Makeev received a head injury, and one Mexican was killed during the fight. Russian lawyers insist that he acted within the framework of the self-defense.
