Markelov lost his inspiration after second criminal case
The former Head of Mari El said that he had stopped writing poetry.
Former Head of the Republic of Mari El Leonid Markelov said at a hearing on January 11 that he stopped writing poetry after he had learned that he had become involved in a second criminal case.
“I have no inspiration. Such lawlessness around. You have seen it,” Markelov said, specifying that he used to write poetry but he stopped now.
To recall, the former Head of the republic is accused of bribe taking in the amount of 235 million rubles ($4 million). The second criminal case was initiated under article Storage of Ammunition and its Acquisition.
