Man tries to kill vet over sick cat
He wanted a guarantee that his pet would recover.
A 33-year-old man was placed in custody for threatening to stab a veterinarian in the city of Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk region).
According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred in February 2019. The man drank alcohol at home, after which he noticed that his cat was not feeling well. He took the pet to a veterinary clinic, where the doctor said that the cat needed urgent surgery.
The drunk owner said he wanted a guarantee that the cat would survive, after which he took out a knife and began to threaten the doctor.
Police arrived at the scene, and the man was charged with threatening to murder or cause grevious boduily harm. The Zheleznogorsk court sentenced him to 10 months in a strict-regime prison.
According to police, the cat could not be saved.
