Local resident who complained about police chief arrested
Yuri Nikitin will spend 15 days under arrest.
Resident Yuri Nikitin was arrested near Kostroma. He was stopped to check the documents, after which he was handcuffed. Before the arrest, Nikitin wrote a complaint against the head of the local police, Echo of Moscow reports.
Nikitin is confident that he is being persecuted for criticizing the authorities. He has videotape, which proves that he did not resist the law enforcement officers. However, the judge refused to attach the video to the case file. Nikitin will spend 15 days under arrest.
Gadzhiev was detained on June 14. A criminal case was initiated against him about participation in a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) and promotion of terrorism (part 4 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code).
