Lethal road traffic accident featuring a former head of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Kuzbass will be investigated by Aman Tuleev
Former high-ranking police officer had already participated in such lethal accidents, but he has never been found guilty.
On April 23 in the Kemerovo Region at Yashkino route, Toyota Land Cruiser car rammed into Toyota Premio with one man and four women inside. Two women died at the scene, the driver and two other passengers were hospitalized. On April 24, one of the women died in reanimation.
The road traffic accident’s developments attracted the community’s attention. It appeared, that the Kemerovo Region governor Aman Tuleev created an independent commission, which will investigate the accident’s development and the degree of guilt of the Toyota Land Cruiser’s driver under his personal control.
The offroader was controlled by former head of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate (SRTS) Administration in Kuzbass, Uriy Movshin. According to some evidences’ words, before bump into Toyota Premion, Land Cruiser speeded past some foreign car at a speed exceeding 130 kmph. After the crash, alcohol detection device of a SRTS policeman showed 0.06 permille in Uriy Movshin, who survived the accident without a scratch. However, among official documents settled at the scene there were no such acts. On the contrary, it is mentioned in the documents that Movshin was not drunk at all.
In 2011, while being a head of SRTS Administration, Uriy Movshin was seen in another lethal road accident, but criminal case was not initiated – the investigation did not find guilt of the police officer.
Today, authorities of the General Administration of the Mininstry of Internal Affairs in the Kemerovo Region initiated a case over art. 264 para. 5 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation – «Highway Code violation, resulting in death of two or more people». Not only community watches the investigation of accident’s developments - this car accident is being extensively investigated.
