Russia: Krasnoyarsk Legislative Assembly deputy speaker dies after falling from window
Investigators discovered suicide notes in the politician’s apartment and office.
Deputy Speaker of the Krasnoyarsk Legislative Assembly Alexey Kleshko died after falling from the window of his house in the center of Krasnoyarsk. Death notes, found by the investigators in his apartment and at the workplace, suggest that "his departure from life was voluntary." This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee’s Directorate for the region.
As noted in the department, the incident occurred early in the Monday morning - around 6:30 local time. Kleshko's body was found by his neighbors in the courtyard of a house in Dekabristov Street. According to preliminary data, the Deputy fell from the balcony of a staircase on the 12th floor.
“Neighbors, the doorkeeper are being interviewed ... Several death notes were found in the office of the deceased and his apartment,” the report reads.
Znak.com pens that this morning Alexey Kleshko was waited for at a meeting of one of the Legislative Assembly’s Commissions, which was to begin under his chairmanship at 10 o'clock. The last post in the social networks of Alexey Kleshko is about visiting the Assumption Monastery.
Media outlet ngs24.ru cites journalist Dmitry Polushin, who remarked that Kleshko occasionally suffered from depression. A few years ago, the Deputy Speaker’s mother died, the politician did not have a family and children.
