“Krasnodar cannibal” leaves mental hospital during investigation to look for job
The alleged murderer was released from custody under a written recognizance not to leave.
Dmitry Baksheev, 35, whom the media nicknamed “the Krasnodar cannibal,” and who was earlier released from custody under a written undertaking not to leave, during the ongoing investigation left the mental hospital and tried to find a job. The defendant himself and a witness told about this, lawyer Alexey Avanesyan writes on his social network page.
“Dmitry Baksheev confirmed under the protocol that after his arrest in September 2018, he was able to freely leave the hospital on weekends,” Avanesyan wrote.
Baksheev does not plead innocent. According to Avanesyan, he looks ill, his diction has deteriorated. Earlier, the CrimeRussia wrote that the defendant had tuberculosis. The victim does not attend the court hearings.
In late February, the court sentenced Baksheev’s spouse Natalya to 10 years in prison for inciting her husband to the murder of a 33-year-old acquaintance, whose body parts the spouses salted and were going to eat.
