Kokorin and Mamayev go on trial today

Footballers Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamayev will appear before the court on October 11, TASS quotes the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow. Athletes are detained for 48 hours after interrogation and are waiting for a preventive measure in the temporary detention center. Kokorin and Mamayev are suspects in Hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Earlier, lawyer of Kokorin Umalat Saygitov said that the players repented and were ready to apologize to the victims. The lawyers have not yet received materials of the criminal case.
Recall, initially the law enforcement agencies initiated a case of battery, but then the charges were retrained for article hooliganism. Now the players face a far more significant period - up to seven years in a colony.
