Kokorin and Mamaev to have twice less time for training at detention facility
The football players’ frequent trainings deprived other prisoners of sports activities.
The administration of the pre-trial detention center Butyrka has reduced the time football players Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev spend in the gym. The athletes have expressed fears that rare exercises will affect their shape, and decided to appeal the decision, reports Rosbalt.
If earlier Kokorin and Mamaev were training five times a week, now they will have to be content with just two visits to the gym. The reason for this was the complaints of other inmates, who because of the players began to lack sports activities. Earlier, the FSIN noted this problem which existed even before Kokorin and Mamaev were arrested.
A source in the law enforcement said that on December 8, the investigation will ask the court to extend the athletes’ arrest until February 8, 2019. In the near future, the victims will undergo an examination within the framework of which the severity of the injuries they caused to the victims will be established.
It is to be recalled that Kokorin and Mamaev are accused of attacking the Trade Ministry employee Denis Pak, CEO of the FSUE NAMI Sergey Gaysin and driver Vitaly Solovchuk. In the same case, Kokorin’s younger brother Kirill and football player Alexander Protasovitsky were arrested.
