Kokorin and Mamaev share their plans for the future
Scandalous football players Pavel Mamaev and Alexander Kokorin, who are currently in custody in the Butyrka pre-trial detention center, as well as Kokorin’s brother Kirill, have replied to the editor of Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.
In their short letters, they said that everything was well and fine. They did not answer the main question, namely whether Mamaev and Kokorin were ready to repent in public.“We're waiting to be released. This will be over, sooner or later.” Pavel Mamaev wrote.
Kokorin and Mamaev were arrested on October 11. The investigation believes that in the morning of October 8, they attacked the driver of Channel One host, Vitaly Solovchuk, outside the Pekin hotel, and then beat Ministry of Industry and Trade officials Denis Pak and Sergey Gaisin in a nearby cafe. A criminal case under Battery (Art. 116 of the Russian Criminal Code) had been initially initiated.
Later, Hooliganism by previous concert was added to the charges (part 2 of Art. 213). The court also arrested Alexander Kokorin’s brother, Kirill, and the fourth participant in the brawl, Aleksandr Protasovitsky.
December 5, the court extended the arrest to Kokorin and Mamaev until February 8.
