Khabarovsk animal abuser gets married in prison
Alyona Savchenko was convicted of brutally killing at least 15 animals and birds and sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison in August 2017. She married Yekaterinburg resident Artem Nechaev. They got married in prison where Savchenko is serving her sentence.
One of the infamous Khabarovsk animal abusers Alyona announced her getting married through the social media vk.com. She changed her last name to Nechaeva.The young woman posted a photo of her wedding certificate decorated with a pair of handcuffs on her page.
Artem Nechaev announced him getting married by posting the Khabarovsk Region Court permission to visit convict Savchenko to get married to her on his page.
“We have a lot of wonderful moments ahead of us,” the young husband wrote.
Let us remind you that two Khabarovsk young women and one young man were given custodial sentences. They were convicted of brutally killing at least 15 animals and birds they had adopted from other people. The young people posted photos of their atrocities on the social media.
The young women were convicted of violation of articles 245, part 2 (Cruelty to Animals) and 162, part 2 (Robbery) of the Russian Criminal Code. Alyona Savchenko was also convicted of violation of article 148, part 1 (Obstruction of the Exercise of the Right of Liberty of Conscience and Religious Liberty) and 282, part 2 (Incitement of Hatred or Enmity, as well as Abasement of Human Dignity) of the Code.
Savchenko was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in medium-security prison.
Her accessories Alina Orlova and Viktor Smyshlyaev were given 3-year custodial sentenced each. Let us remind you that Savchenko tried to get sent to mental hospital instead of prison. She claimed she “hears voices” and is prone to suicide. Alyona Savchenko had long been registered with mental hospital due to cutting her wrists, according to investigators.

To recall, the news of two young female Khabarovsk residents torturing and brutally killing animals caused a public outcry on the Russian Internet. Internet users demanded she was given the strictest punishment possible. Thousands of people signed a petition to convict the young woman of felonies and introduce stricter legal punishment for animal abuse.
