Sergey Khudonogov

Sergey Khudonogov had earlier been excluded from the United Russia party for the “immoral” use of equipment of the housing and public utilities.

Criminal case into abuse of official powers (item 2 of article 285 of the Criminal Case of the Russian Federation) has been initiated against a head of the Irkutsk region’s Nizhneudinsky district Sergey Khudonogov who had used equipment of the housing and public utilities in his land property, reports the media office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The investigation assumes that on July 2, Khudonogov used the equipment of the housing and public utilities to clean his own land property from consequences of high water.

Video had earlier been posted on the web. Its author stated that the official had used equipment and staff of the housing and public utilities for his own purposes. “There were around 10 KAMAZ vehicles and jeeps used. Lots of people!” the man said.

Khudonogov was excluded from the United Russia party following the publication of the video. Vice-PM Vitaly Mutko demanded to dismiss the mayor of Nizhneudinsky district.
