Investigative Committee disproved information on cancelling Gaizer’s case
The Investigative Committee declared that the criminal case was not dismissed over any episode of criminal activity of the former Head of Komi and his helpers.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICR) denied information on removal of one of accusations from former Head of the Komi Republic of Vyacheslav Gaizer. This was reported to journalists by Acting Chief of the Administration of department on interaction with media Svetlana Petrenko.
According to her, legal investigation of the case concerning Gaizer and his accomplices was finished in January, head department on investigation of especially important issues of ICR of Russia was engaged in it, and on episodes criminal case was dismissed. She added that now all persons involved and their lawyers get acquainted with materials.
According to Petrenko, the episode about bribery to ex-Head of administration of Syktyvkar Roman Zenishchev initially was not in case, it was in production of regional investigation department of ICR in the Komi Republic of Russia.
As the CrimeRussia wrote, a number of media earlier reported that the episode about a bribe to the former head of administration of Syktyvkar was excluded from case against Vyacheslav Gaizer.
A federal judge other than retired Catherine Forrest will consider the case of Razhden Shulaya, who is charged with the creation of a criminal syndicate and other crimes, in the Federal District Court of the Southern District of New York.
Ismail Efendiev is suspected of exceeding authority in connection with the investigation of cases of detained earlier former First Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Aliyev and nephew of the former head of Dagestan Askhabali Abdulatipov. Searches are being conducted at Efendiev's office and house.
