Investigative Committee and Prosecutor’s Office to check Crimean Yalta’s administration
Earlier searches were carried out at the place of former Head of the city administration Andrey Rostenko.
Law enforcement authorities are checking the activity of administration of Yalta. Head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov reported on it on Thursday, July 27.
According to him representatives of the Investigative Committee and Prosecutor's Office of the region will give a legal treatment to the decisions made by representatives of administration of Yalta. Besides, the government commission is involved in the check.
To recall, earlier the head of administration of the city and several his deputies were dismissed upon the demand of the head of the republic. Moreover, the staff of the Federal Security Service carried out a series of searches at places of the high-ranking officials of Yalta. According to one of the versions, they could be directly connected with the land scandal revealed earlier. Then law enforcement agencies paid attention to Head of the department of the land relations of the city Lilia Molostova because the city budget short-received over 2.3 billion rubles ($38.4 million) during the sale of land.
The prosecutors want the former Russian Federation Council member to go to prison for 14 years instead of 9 and pay a 500-million-ruble ($8.8 million) fine instead of 70 million rubles ($1.2 million).
