Interview of Krasnodar’s Mayor not published after intervention of Prosecutor's Office
The supervising department found violation of the law in the auction organized by city administration.
The Mayor's office of Krasnodar decided not to publish the image material in local media, which included interview with Mayor Evgeny Pervyshov. The auction was cancelled after the Prosecutor's Office of Krasnodar pointed to officials to violations of the law, the press service of the department reports.
In particular, the public prosecutor's check established that the auction for the sum of 200 thousand rubles ($3 thousand) supposed publication of an article in printed media – “Krasnodar as the center of economic growth of Kuban: investment potential of conditions for business development”. The publication included an interview with Mayor Evgeny Pervyshov. The expected circulation was not less than 8 thousand copies.
After inspecting the tender documentation, the Prosecutor's Office came to a conclusion that municipal unit the city of Krasnodar is a part of founders of several media in this connection the last have to publish this material on a grant basis. Besides, the Prosecutor's Office reminded the authorities of Krasnodar of overdue accounts payable under the executed municipal contracts.
The Kuybyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg is to consider the third case against Barsukov (Kumarin), as part of which he is charged with criminal community creation. Previously, the 'night governor of St. Petersburg' had been held in the Moscow's Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center. It is also reported that Barsukov is to be questioned in the case of Galina Starovoytova's murder.
