Interior Ministry central board officer sent to Elista after fight between investigators and police

Security officials fought in one of the restaurants of the city.

A representative of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been sent to Elista to assess the course of a service audit against the staff of the Kalmykia department, TASS informs with reference to the representative of the Ministry, Irina Volk.

The check against the police officers is being carried out in connection with their fight with the staff of the regional office of the Investigative Committee in one of the local cafes. According to law enforcement agencies, the skirmish occurred on the night of March 24.

The fight took place on March 23 in entertainment center Uralan. Sources say that the clash happened between the Head of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, his Deputy and two operational officers on one side, and three employees of the Investigative Committee of Kalmykia and Special Police Force on the other. All security officials were drunk.

The CID officers, feeling a shortfall, called crime lord nicknamed Tyulya for help. The latter suggested that opponents sober up and sort everything out the next day.

The next day, about 40 people from both sides gathered at the appointed place. Moreover, local crime bosses again supported the police officers. In the course of the fight, the Elista police officers gunned down one of the officers of the Investigative Committee with traumatic weapon, and beat a Special Police Force officer with reinforcement steel.
